Ryan's 18 month checkup

Ryan finally had his 18 month checkup. His stats were:

Weight: 28 pounds even.... 75% percentile
Height: 34 1/2" ... 95th percentile

I think he must be going thru a growth spurt. We can't seem to get him filled up lately, doesn't want to sleep and into everything. lol

He didn't get any shots yesterday. WOO HOO!! They did take some blood from his finger to check his iron levels, red blood count, etc. Just so we have a recent baseline. He does so good at the lab. He doesn't even cry when the prick his finger. Kim, the lab tech, gave him one of the tubes they collect the blood in, to play with while she pricked his finger. Well, as soon as she pricked his finger, he took the test tube she gave him and started trying to collect blood in his test tube. He hasn't had any blood drawn since October of last year and we don't take him along on Alan's appointments. SMART BOY!!!

Alan spent Thursday night with Nana and Poppy. He spent Friday with Nana and had a blast playing with construction paper, scissors (child, of course) and glue. Then Nana, Poppy, Alan, Ryan and Mommy had lunch at Chappy's after taking Poppy's old tv to the UPS store to get shipped back. Poppy sure is glad to have a big screen tv that is working!!! If you buy one, buy a Vizio, their customer service is wonderful!

Today the kids are playing outside and enjoying the cool start to the day. It's only 80 degrees outside. Hard to believe it's August!! We have had such nice weather.

Well, I think Ry is ready to take a nap already.... he's kinda cranky. Could be, he took a 3 hour nap yesterday and then wouldn't go to sleep until almost 11.
